Amir Alavi

Mr. Alavi is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in employment law and a broad range of experience in other legal fields. Throughout his career, Mr. Alavi has successfully litigated and resolved hundreds of employment actions, including individual cases, P.A.G.A. claims, and class actions, as both plaintiff counsel and defense counsel. As lead counsel, he has recovered millions for employee clients through settlements and trial victories, and successfully defended many employment cases as well. Mr. Alavi has also represented clients faced with landlord/tenant disputes, property disputes, construction disputes, personal injury, and immigration.

Mr. Alavi earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, where he developed a strong foundation in legal research and writing. Prior to law school, Mr. Alavi completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with an emphasis on Peace and Conflict Negotiation from the University of California, Irvine. Mr. Alavi’s commitment to excellence has earned him recognition through academic awards, including a CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing and a Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Sales and Secured Transactions. This educational background, combined with a Spanish Language Certificate from the University of Córdoba in Spain, has helped shape his versatile approach to resolving complex legal matters and allowed him to represent and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. Mr. Alavi is a man who strives for honor in all aspects of his life, especially in serving his clients as an attorney, and feels blessed to be able to serve his community in a legal capacity.

In addition to his professional expertise, Mr. Alavi is conversationally fluent in both Spanish and Persian, further enhancing the ability to serve a diverse clientele. When he is not vigorously advocating for the rights of his clients, Mr. Alavi enjoys spending time with his family, as well as playing soccer, golf, tennis, winter sports, and various other activities.
